I was commissioned by John Lobb to document their global, bespoke archive at their atelier in Paris. Once every few years the entire archive is returned from stores all over the planet to be reconditioned and polished. Whilst the 300+ pairs were in the same place we shot them all to use as reference and social content. In all my years of shooting product I have never seen so many pairs of shoes in one place ! It was an amazing couple of days and we photographed all sorts of amazing and crazy styles from Elephant skin trainers to Lizard skin wingtips, each one with its own story and character.
Whilst they were all in one place I also took a shot of the Atelier team to show the amazing crafts people behind the beautiful hand made shoes.
